Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
This specific course is evergreen. So it can be started at any time. All lectures are pre-recorded and ready to watch.
How long do I have access to the course?
You get access to the video content for 12 months, but have access to the lecture notes forever.
Can I claim continuing professional education points (CPE) for the completion of this course?
Please check with your professional association in regards to their CPE requirements. Some health professionals in some countries will certainly be able to claim CPE/CPD points for the completion of the course (e.g., naturopaths and nutritionists in Australia). But each association counts their CPE points differently. So check with them about how much CPE credit you'll receive for this training. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
Who can do this course?
This course is solely for University of Western States (UWS) students or recent graduates of the Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Only students who completed the UWS unit Gastrointestinal Imbalances from 2023 onwards can enroll in this course. If you completed the relevant UWS unit (Gastrointestinal Imbalances - MSN6204) in an earlier year, please reach out to us ([email protected]) so we can talk about what options are open to you.
Do I have time to complete this course so I can then enroll in the Advanced Microbiome Manipulation course in 2024?
Yes, so long as you complete the content (i.e., watch the lectures and complete the quizzes) before the commencement date for the 2024 term of Advanced Microbiome Manipulation - which is October 7th, 2024. Take note however, that enrollment in the Advanced Microbiome Manipulation (AMM) course is on a first-in-first-served basis and we only have a limited number of student slots each term. So it is possible that the 2024 AMM course will be full before you complete the bridging course. Although we currently do have some spaces available. Completion of the bridging course does not guarantee you of a place in future AMM courses, but it will allow you to enroll in a future AMM course (space-permitting).

This course is closed for enrollment.
