UWS Bridging Course - Naturopathic & Functional Medicine Approaches to Gastrointestinal Disorders 2024 term
This course is solely for University of Western States (UWS) students or recent graduates of the Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. After completion of this bridging course, graduates will be eligible to enroll into the Microbiome Restoration Center's Advanced Microbiome Manipulation course.
This course is solely for University of Western States (UWS) students or recent graduates of the Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Only students who completed the UWS unit Gastrointestinal Imbalances from 2023 onwards can enroll in this course.
It contains the 5 modules from the Microbiome Restoration Center's Naturopathic and Functional Medicine Approaches to Gastrointestinal Disorders Course that are NOT covered in the UWS Gastrointestinal Imbalances unit:
1) Gastrointestinal Microbiota Assessment – An Overview & Critique of the Options
2) Intestinal Permeability - Testing and Treatment
3) Using Herbs to Modulate the Microbiota - Treating Bacterial Infections & Imbalances
4) Blastocystis & Dientamoeba – Clinical Considerations
5) Functional Constipation
After completion of this bridging course, graduates will be eligible to enroll into the Microbiome Restoration Center's Advanced Microbiome Manipulation course to become Certified Microbiome Analysts.
